OUR STORY
The Citiscape story begun with a vison by the co-founders – Nelly Mbugua and Peter Ndung’u, over 15 years ago to provide exceptional valuation, estate agency, and property management services built on integrity, professionalism, and client satisfaction. The founders, driven by a deep passion for the real estate industry, saw an opportunity to bridge gaps in service delivery, uphold the highest professional standards, and provide accurate, reliable, and ethical solutions in the property market.
In 2009 Nelly resigned from employment to set up Alliance Valuers & Estate Agents Ltd. Within a short while, she noticed a few other real estate agencies using the name Alliance and the directors renamed the company Citiscape Valuers & Estate Agents Ltd. Being a start-up, Nelly was based at a co-working space at Eden Square then she was joined by a messenger/driver.
Six months later, we took up space at Occidental Plaza, which was home for 10 years. Thereafter, with the growth of the company Citiscape made another move to The Mirage Towers. In 2022, the Company expanded to Meru County to serve the Mt Kenya region more effectively.
The 15 years journey would not have been possible without the business development insights that Peter Ndung’u offered along the way, as well as the staff members who have served the company for nearly 15 years with dedication and oneness of mind.

DIRECTOR BIOS
NELLY K. MBUGUA, OGW
MSc. Project Management; B.A. Land Economics, M.I.S.K., R.V, MRICS, ACiarb, Chartered Valuation Surveyor
Nelly has over 25 years professional experience in valuation, property management, estate agency, an arbitrator, and a certified NEMA EIA/EIA lead expert. She is a co-founder and CEO of Citiscape Valuers & Estate Agents Ltd. Nelly holds both local and international valuation/real estate certifications. Prior to Citiscape, Nelly has worked with top real estate firms in Kenya, rising to top leadership positions.
Nelly is a member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), as well as Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK), is a licensed estate agent and a registered valuer. She is the Deputy President of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), the Vice President, Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE) – East Africa Region. She is the immediate past Chairperson of The Estate Agents Registration Board.
Nelly is a beneficially of the presidential award of the Order of the Grand Warrior (O.G.W) in recognition of her outstanding service rendered to the country in different capacities.
Nelly holds a Master Degree in Project Management (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics, and post graduate Diploma with ISK, among other certifications. She is currently pursuing her final course in arbitration.
Nelly is a trustee of the Bible Society of Kenya and a past chairperson of the Society, and a leader at the Awake Ministry in ICC Nairobi. She is a committed Christian, a wife and a mother to two children.
PETER NDUNG’U
B.A. Hons; PGDE, MEd. International Education; Diploma in Property Management & Estate Agency; EARB Certification.
Mr. Peter Ndung’u is the Executive Director of Citiscape Valuers & Estate Agents. He holds a BA with honours from University of Nairobi and a MEd from Endicott College USA. In addition, Mr. Ndung’u holds a Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management from University of Nairobi.
Prior to his arrival at Citiscape Valuers & Estate Agents, Mr. Ndung’u had extensive leadership roles with the Aga Khan Education Service Kenya. Mr. Ndung’u is responsible for strategic planning; human resource management; project management; property management; business development; sales and agency. He has served in this position for just under two years.
He has had wide-ranging engagement with a wide range of developers and has extensive knowledge of the residential property market in Nairobi. Currently, he also leads the residential housing marketing team that: develops bespoke marketing plans for each project; designs marketing material and advertises each project.
Peter leads the Agency Department as well as Business Development activities which include marketing and engineering new directions for company growth.
